#0937 Claims Rep Trainee
SUMMARY: Train on duties and responsibilities of Claims Representative. Learn to determine coverage, inspect damages, verify and appraise items involved in auto and property losses, negotiate, evaluate, and settle injury claims in both commercial and personal insurance lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in training and continuing education courses as requested or required; gaining knowledge, skills, and ability to perform functions of a Claims Representative.
- Learn to communicate with customers and other claims personnel regarding procedures, problems, and coverages.
- Investigate, evaluate, validate, negotiate, and settle all claims as assigned.
- Analyze claim situations for coverage by contract.
- Continually gain working knowledge of policy coverages.
- Obtain Adjuster’s license
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong verbal communication, friendly and service-oriented, maintains a high degree of professionalism, demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Possesses strong technical aptitude with the ability to work with mathematical operations related to daily tasks.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities
