SUMMARY: The position is responsible for understanding, interpreting, analyzing, and communicating accounting problems for 60 County Farm Bureaus. The position prepares federal and state tax returns, worksheets, and reviews county financial data. The position trains county bookkeepers with QuickBooks, payroll, and cash accounting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• QuickBooks and Bookkeeping support for 60 County Farm Bureau office bookkeepers.
• Prepare and record end of year adjusting journal entries, create worksheet for the preparation of all County Farm Bureau federal and state income tax returns (990, 990T, F1120), and review the completion.
• Perform Financial Reviews at the request of the County Farm Bureau leadership.
• Respond to or assist County Farm Bureaus with IRS, SSA and FL DOR notices.
• Supervise Accounting Clerk.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with a high degree of accuracy.

EDUCATION: College degree with a major in Accounting or 8-10 years of experience in accounting with junior or business college courses. QuickBooks, payroll and sales tax preparation experience necessary.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel within the state to serve the department.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: The position needs to write correspondence on difficult topics with a high degree of precision. They must be able to communicate with government agencies.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have ability to apply moderately complex mathematical concepts to tax calculations and daily task. Ability to use and comprehend simple Excel spreadsheet formulas.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS: QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Certified Payroll Professional, desired but not necessary.
